World of Warcraft: Cataclysm is the latest expansion to World of Warcraft. The game, in general, is the most popular online game in the world and that doesn’t look to be changing with Cataclysm. Cataclysm doesn’t change too much about how World of Warcraft works, but it does add more dungeons, which always produce a nice amount of entertainment for gamers.

Raiding has always been a feature in World of Warcraft that everyone enjoyed. In raids, you form large parties of up to 25 people in an attempt to defeat the boss and gain some of the rarest items and equipment in the game. Most raid dungeons are for those with characters that are already near or at the max level of 85. This is what is called “end game content”. However, while that is the case, the fact is that World of Warcraft is always evolving with every patch and expansion released, so even people who have experienced everything still continue to enjoy the ride.

In Cataclysm, there is one raid dungeon that has a unique PvP(player vs player) element added in. This dungeon is called the Baradin Hold, and the only way players can enter is by winning a PvP battle. PvP is a very popular feature for those who love to compete with others, and it is a nice development to see the creators of World of Warcraft striving to provide great content to people who have been with World of Warcraft since the beginning.

The defenders of Paragon are tireless in their battle against evil. The heroes who choose to side with the cause of righteousness must work tirelessly against the forces of injustice. The bad guys in Cities of Villains will not let the heroes rest up. Both the Heroes and the villains in the oldest super hero mmo must know the tips and tricks that will give them the edge.

City of Heroes, unlike many MMOs, does not rely much on loot. The loot that does drop off of bosses in the game lets players enhance their power sets. These enhancements can be combined to increase the effectiveness of a power. While the enhancements are a good to increase a power, they are only good for a number of levels. Once a player goes pat that level range, he must find new enhancements that will boost his powers. He only gets so many enhancement slots, but he can combine different enhancements to boost the effectiveness.

The power enhancement process is a little different for the villains of Paragon City. Unlike their heroic counterparts, they do rely more on loot to achieve their evil schemes, but how their powers work remains basically the same.

City of Heroes is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game. The rpg is based off of the City of Heroes superhero comic book genre; it takes place in Paragon City, a fictional city where superheroes roam its different zones. The zones are separated by energy war walls; the zones that are more dangerous are bordered in red on the map. In this game, players may create a hero avatar, move around doing missions, and eventually they will level up and obtain new powers and abilities for their character.

STARTING THE GAME

Character Creation is the first step to starting the game; the player selects an archetype, then primary and secondary power sets, and then a unique costume. The player can also select a battle cry for his/her avatar.
Some archetypes are:

Tanker- The Tanker can survive vast sums of damage and still hold his own in a fight. Though the Tanker is good at surviving, it lacks long range attacks, and would just prefer to charge into battle melee-style.

Peacebringer- A Peacebringer takes more damage from attacks, but they make it up with their solid hit points, a variety of energy attack powers and defensive powers. The Peacebringer becomes even stronger when teaming up with non-Keldian heroes; they then gain bonuses according to the archetype their allies have.

Blaster- The Blaster has low hit points and high damage. The Blaster’s primary power focuses on ranged attacks such as assault rifle, psychic blast, and fire blast. Their secondary power are melee attacks, self-buffs, and manipulation of surroundings.

CITY OF HEROES: FREEDOM

In City of Heroes: Freedom, dive into new stories, features, and a new free update (Issue 21: Convergence). Also, it has monthly signature story arcs that let you fight alongside iconic Heroes and Villains that decide the fate of Paragon. There will be new weekly in-game store items and high level Incarnate trials as well. Current City of Heroes players will still have their accounts on Freedom, but with VIP status. This means that they will gain more features, services. and awards, along with being paid 400 Paragon Points per month. In Freedom, you may pay for the features that you like, or download it and play for free as long as you want.

If your kids have started spending less time in front of the Direct TV and more in front of the computer perhaps they’re getting into online gaming. It’s a great place for game lovers to be but you should monitor your children to make sure they’re playing safe online
Check their convos: All manner of people game and in live-action gaming they are actually able to have real conversations. These game chats have been known to be vulgar and your kids may be talking to people you don’t want them to so listen closely.
Know their games: All games are not created equal and some are more important to keep an eye on than others. Depending on your kid’s age, you’re going to want to make sure the games they’re playing aren’t excessively violent or sexual so read online reviews and watch them play a few rounds.
Monitor their time: It’s important not to let your kids get too caught up in the world of gaming and forsake things like friends and sports. Set a strict time limit on how long they’re able to be on the computer and be firm.

Everyone wants to be the bad guy sometimes, but we’d rather not deal with the consequences or guilt. City of Villains gives me that chance to walk on the wrong side of the law without worrying about repercussions. As you can imagine, a city dedicated solely to villains is not the nicest neighborhood to walk through, but thankfully you don’t need to be a nice person.

I’ve always liked the stealthy villains. The ones that sneak into a bank and steal the jewels and take advantage of the distractions of others. My villain of choice is what the game terms as a Stalker.Didn’t catch that? This explains it. I’m basically a glass cannon which means I can hit something really hard and really fast, but if I don’t turn tail and run before the retaliation then I’m in trouble. Something about having a character that runs away from any real fight really resonates with me. The “live to fight another day” mentality.

That’s not to say that other character types don’t have their fun. I can certainly see the appeal of taking on a whole SWAT team by yourself as you shoot mystical fire from your mouth. I’ll just be the one sneaking around all that while I grab your heist.

City of Heroes allows you to put on virtual spandex and battle it out against those that harm innocent citizens. With a first rate character creation system, you can make real that superhero you drew in your spiral notebooks in school. Personally, I’ve always wanted a giant robot that uses a machine gun. He was the first character I created when I started up City of Heroes and I never got tired of patrolling the streets like I was a bigger version of RoboCop.

However, it’s the other players that really make this world come alive. While hopping from rooftop to rooftop, like I always wanted to do, it is normal to come across a hero that you’ve never seen before battling it out with a gang of Clockwork robots or breaking up an evil magic ritual. Should their fight turn badly, it feels like a true comic book moment to leap into the fray with your personalized catchphrase to help even the odds.

While there are set missions that give you more story, I’ve always preferred to make my own narrative in this game. All it takes is imagination, and access to a giant robot wielding a machine gun.

There are various ways to power level in the game Rift. Some of the best methods though, include the completion of quests, rifts, player versus player combat, and instances.
The most common way to acquire experience in Rift is through the various quests that are unlocked throughout the game. Players can embark on different quests by talking to NPCs, and experience is awarded upon their completion.
Rifts are another good way to get experience. When rifts open up, enemy NPCs will pour into the world of Telara, and players have to join together in order to defeat them. Experience during rifts are given based on how much a character contributes to the overall fight, so there is the potential for high experience gains.
Player versus player, or pvp combat is another common way that players get a lot of experience quickly in Rift. In pvp combat players can face off against one another, a challenge, but well worth it to the victor.
One of the best ways to get experience in Rift is through instances when powerful enemies are encountered within dungeons. Not only can players attain a high amount of experience, but they can also sometimes find rare and powerful new equipment by defeating these opponents.

The concept of online gaming is taking the world by storm. World Of Warcraft is an MMORPG ( Multi-Massive Online Role Playing Game). With almost 11 million active players, it has to be more than a passing phase. To start the game out you will begin , in a starting city relevant to your staring race. All these areas are pretty much the same in level and quest numbers. The best thing to do is to pick up your first quests. These are prominently marked by exclamation points over NPC characters. I would suggest when venturing out to do these quests you make a few trips back and forth and sell anything you get in your inventory that is not quest related. You will need gold to purchase spells , armor, and weapons. This you will do frequently until around level 10 when you can go to the bigger city and use the auction house. The auction house will become you home away from home, as this is how you will make the most of your gold in the game. By the time your level 10 you should have a good idea of how the game works. Happy Hunting !
