New City of Hero’s Expansion: Freedom
City of Heroes is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game. The rpg is based off of the City of Heroes superhero comic book genre; it takes place in Paragon City, a fictional city where superheroes roam its different zones. The zones are separated by energy war walls; the zones that are more dangerous are bordered in red on the map. In this game, players may create a hero avatar, move around doing missions, and eventually they will level up and obtain new powers and abilities for their character.
STARTING THE GAME
Character Creation is the first step to starting the game; the player selects an archetype, then primary and secondary power sets, and then a unique costume. The player can also select a battle cry for his/her avatar.
Some archetypes are:
Tanker- The Tanker can survive vast sums of damage and still hold his own in a fight. Though the Tanker is good at surviving, it lacks long range attacks, and would just prefer to charge into battle melee-style.
Peacebringer- A Peacebringer takes more damage from attacks, but they make it up with their solid hit points, a variety of energy attack powers and defensive powers. The Peacebringer becomes even stronger when teaming up with non-Keldian heroes; they then gain bonuses according to the archetype their allies have.
Blaster- The Blaster has low hit points and high damage. The Blaster’s primary power focuses on ranged attacks such as assault rifle, psychic blast, and fire blast. Their secondary power are melee attacks, self-buffs, and manipulation of surroundings.
