Kids and Online Gaming: Your Role
If your kids have started spending less time in front of the Direct TV and more in front of the computer perhaps they’re getting into online gaming. It’s a great place for game lovers to be but you should monitor your children to make sure they’re playing safe online
Check their convos: All manner of people game and in live-action gaming they are actually able to have real conversations. These game chats have been known to be vulgar and your kids may be talking to people you don’t want them to so listen closely.
Know their games: All games are not created equal and some are more important to keep an eye on than others. Depending on your kid’s age, you’re going to want to make sure the games they’re playing aren’t excessively violent or sexual so read online reviews and watch them play a few rounds.
Monitor their time: It’s important not to let your kids get too caught up in the world of gaming and forsake things like friends and sports. Set a strict time limit on how long they’re able to be on the computer and be firm.
